When they told us the boat could take 10 passengers, didn’t think we’d be sitting on the sailboat’s outrigs.
I should have taken the little boy hawker’s offer to buy a plastic supot to put my cellphone in. I thought I could just put it inside my jacket.
Little did I know that waves would be crashing on me as I was precariously balanced on balance beams spreading from boat’s sides like a spider’s spindly legs.
But I’m a photographer and I need to take photos. As sun set, I took the cellphone out. It had a fisheye lens on, which was serendipitously appropriate for the setting.
I’m just glad I didn’t lose my phone to the fishes.
